Kathmandu is a city with few good stories right now, but Tanka Maya Sitoula has one of them.The 40-year-old mother-of-four was at home when Saturday’s deadly 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck, bringing the 5-story building down around her ground floor apartment.In the wake of the disaster, which has left at least 4,500 people dead across Nepal, Sitoula endured 36 long hours trapped in a room on the ground floor, before she was freed by an Indian rescue team.Remarkably, she escaped without injury, apparently protected by a beam. from which Tanka Maya Sitoula was rescuedThe collapsed building in Kathmandu from which Tanka Maya Sitoula was rescuedSitoula, who talked to CNN through an interpreter, says she remained confident she would survive throughout her ordeal amid the rubble.

And also from down below she was making sounds and I could hear her.”Powerful earthquake hits Nepal It took 18 hours before the necessary help arrived, he said. And it took another 18 hours to free her.I was asking people for help. Traffic police, whoever I could find. What happened was there were no tools to cut through the metal debris.”Eventually, a rescue team from India had the equipment required, he said.

Saraswati Biswokarma sits in the dark, rearranging the threadbare cotton sheet and straw bed she is forced to sleep on before bringing her knees up to her chest with a shiver.
It is already mid-morning but she has not been allowed out of the airless brick shed where she has spent every night for the past week.
The 13-year-old was effectively banished to the shed – barely big enough to stand or lie down in — where she must experience her first period alone in a traumatic ordeal.


“I’ve been here eight nights so I have one left,” she says with a nervous smile. “It’s not nice here, it’s scary and I felt very alone on the first night. I was so scared.”
Saraswati’s isolation is part of a centuries-old Hindu ritual known as chhaupadi that has been blamed for prolonged depression and even deaths in remote, impoverished western Nepal.
Under the practice, women are prohibited from participating in normal family activities during menstruation and after childbirth, and can have no contact with men of the household.
“I’m not allowed to touch any cattle or go inside our house. I have to stay in the shed and when my mother calls I have to wait nearby the house with a plate so she can give me food,” Saraswati says.
She is also barred from consuming dairy products or meat or taking a bath. Even looking in the mirror is frowned upon.

The practice stems from the belief that when women have periods they are impure and will bring bad luck on a whole family if they stay in the house and will contaminate anything they touch.

Heroin falls hard during shooting

Making a film or shooting is a very hectic and tiring work. Everyone has to work as hard as they can. Just one mistake of a crew can destroy the whole scene and it means doing the same work again. The hardest work is of the actors and actresses who not have to say the dialogues but they also have to act and make it look realistic.
Behind every perfect shot in the movie are tons of takes which did not go right and as expected. Here is a take that was taken in a movie which went ser!ously wrong. The fail is so epic that it made every crew member laugh.
It is a scene of shooting and a girl and a boy are ready to do their work. The scene looks almost like a jungle and there also a small stream. There is a small bamboo bridge like thing over the stream.
As the director shouts action, the actress or the girl starts running over the bridge like bamboo. She is also being chased by the actor or the guy. As she is going with the flow and doing her work, she suddenly slips and falls hardly from the bamboo.

While she falls the other crew members laugh so hard and the slow footage of the video is even funnier. But the girl on the other hand fell really hard and starts to cry.
The girl cries hardly and the other crew members including the actor behind her laugh at the way she fell. This is surely an epic movie shoot fail which has been uploaded on YouTube. Dipa Basnet who got an award after directing her first movie

Antaral’ has directed her first short film. The short movie directed by her has been released through YouTube. The movie is based on $**exu@*l psychology, it is also based on story ‘Bhado’ of popular writer Gobinda Malla Gothale and has been released. She wanted to direct this movie from 2010.

While going on the floor for the cinematography of ‘Bhado’, the shepherd was doing a hu**ge and last $t**ruggle in his life. Writer Gothale was willing to see his story which has been directed and brought to screen by Dipa. But the wish of him did not some true. Remembering the days of cinematography of ‘Bhado’ Dipa said, ‘At the moment Malla was f!g**ht**ing with de@*th, I took his permission and made the movie. He used to say that he would watch the movie too but he d!**ed before the completion of the movie.’

The movie which is based in the $**exu@*l psychology of a boy who works at a man’s house and lives there was first premièred in Film Fiesta 2010 organized in Nepal and was officially selected and released in the Nepali Film Fare 2011 .
The movie presented by Jiwan Sathi Films has cinematography by Ramesh Dhimal and has been edited by Ashim Chitrakar. In the movie, Nawaraj Khadka, Shanti Giri, Laxman Neupane, Yugjyoti Kriyasil. Sisir Joshi and Jyoti Magar are in lead roles.
