BJP MLA Vijender Gupta Dragged Out Of Delhi Assembly

For the second consecutive day, the Delhi Assembly continued to face major disruptions. What followed the uproar today was even more shocking. The BJP MLA Vijender Gupta was lifted out by marshals evoking laughter from the benches.  It was for the second straight day that marshals were rushed in the House to move out protesting BJP MLAs. Yesterday, BJP lawmaker OP Sharma was marshalled out. 

Vijender Gupta’s exit from the assembly even made for an amusing sight. The BJP legislator, one of the three BJP lawmakers, was physically removed as he refused to stop raising slogans during the House proceedings. Marshals rushed in to first drag him out of the house but when they didn’t succeed, they carried him on their shoulders. “The government is undemocratic. They are getting us beaten up. But we will not tolerate anything unconstitutional. We will shout till we are hoarse,” said Gupta.
